We have come such a long way to arrive here.  It was like the pioneers of long ago.  Saying to my  family, we
need to go west.  I was happy as a farmer.  We started with 140 acres and not all of it was cleared.  We new the
only way to keep our homestead alive was to raise livestock too.  So we went out and bought a few breeding
heifers.  The first year we had them artificially made pregnant.  We planted our first crops.  Which was 55 acres in
corn.  To say the least it was not a bumper crop.  We harvested 30 bushel of corn per acre our first year in the
field.  That was enough just to feed the cattle.  Before our next planting we put 2 ton per acre soil nutrients.  We
did a soil test to analyze the percentage of nutrients in the ground.  The following year our crop production was
70 bushels per acre, the ground was starting to produce.  We were very tired most all the time.  We worked other
jobs.  During the day my job at the power station and worked the farm at night.  We used 85 acres to graze the
cattle during the summer.  We had to make this farm more productive.  So we purchased a Model 'D4 Catipillar'
Dozer.  This was the toughest 20 ton machine ever made.  Oh it took a little extra to take down very large trees!
This was the best $5000 dollars we  ever invested.  Well before my family and I left our homestead in 1985.  We
had changed this run down farm into 110 tillable acres and 30 acres of the best alfalfa and red clover.   Our herd
of 65 heifers and averaged about 60-62 calves each year.  We also raised our own registered Black Angus bulls.
We also opened an electronic repair shop.  We repaired televisions, stereos and amateur radio equipment.  This
did supplement our losses at the beginning but after a while things got to tough.  Lets fast forward to today!  I got
married have four children.  My wife and I and we are packed heading for the good life.  I got a job offer from a
very big utility company out west.  So now you have the story of how we arrived in the big city.  It is a wonderful
life. I guess we didn't notice much of a change because it is just a larger farming community.  We fit right in and
that was the greatest feeling ever.  Well anyhow its now, the year 2007 and life goes on.  The city is so large its
hard to believe how it has grown.  People coming back to visit, that lived here years ago get lost.  The tales they
spin of a booming farm community.  Some things never change it will always be the home of the top college
football team in the USA!  Sports is definitely number one pastime here.  The fans are like none I had ever known.
Baseball and basketball have there place too.  We know everyone probably feels the same about their city.
Home is what you make of it!  Because where ever you go people will be there to greet you.  The Welcome
Wagon  is worldwide to say hello to its neighbors.  Its funny how communities have adopted this way of greeting
new people to their community.   Give you a little basket  of goodies,  that store owners supply.   Well its not all
small town atmosphere.  There are major corporation doing business throughout the world.   What made this area
so large is the Air Force Base.   This is a major communications network.   So it makes it sense for companies
large and small to come here.  The housing industry is at an all time high.  Where their are people and jobs,  you
need homes.  I believe there are 200 communities within the city.  People tend to migrate to where their relatives
are living.  That was really fast!  But if I continued with my autobiography it would never end.  But that is a good
point!   Because that is exactly what I would like to do with my Internet business.  We are creating a new place to
hang our hat.
