Cars and Trucks

When you are born into a family of car and truck enthusiasts.  How to care for your
vehicle is second nature.  Do you have anyone in your family, that is a real car
fanatic?  You stand a big chance of becoming one too.  Well why not cars are so
cool!   The car is a very important part of everyone's life.  There are so many places
we go in our cars.  We could not imagine being without one.  We live in a major
metropolitan city.  Around the block is 2  miles.  The mass transit system can get
you some places.  But standing outside in the cold, heat and rain waiting for a bus.
Would definitely be a royal pain in the behind. I would much rather be behind the
wheel of one of these.
There are legendary car stores.  Do you remember when you could not get the part at
the salvage yard.  You called Napa, Advanced Auto and JC Whitney would come through
with the parts.  Lots of people were doing bondo on stuff.  The guy with a little cash
would call JC Whitney and have them send prefabbed parts from there warehouse.  The
cool thing is those days are still here and several other individual companies sprung up
too.  We always had our precision engine builders.  Bore everything out add a different
cam shaft and maybe a holly double pumper.  The electrical would be excel and new
computer chips to make those valves open and close at the proper time.

Take care of your car.  The things I will tell you about are so minor.  But the sad part is that 3 out of 10 people do not do it.
What is it?  Checking fluid levels in your car!  Do you have a vehicle that eats oil.  Then open the hood, pull out the dipstick
and wipe it off.  Use a shop rag or paper towel.  How do I tell the oil level?  Good question,  the dip stick is usually about
two and a half foot long.  It will have a dark filmy material on it,  this is oil.

There are lines on the end of the stick that says full.  This means you have enough oil in the vehicle.  It should not be filled
past this line.  Filling past this level will  damage internal engine parts and cause the gaskets to leak.  Another major part is
your transmission.  It has a yellow handled dipstick and the fluid in here is red.  If the transmission is damaged the fluid
may be brownish red.  These two levels are of major importance.

The next fluid level is the master cylinder reservoir that holds the brake fluid.  Take the cap off and look at the small plastic
indicator.  It should be full.  If not top this level up with DOT3 brake fluid.  These are the major things that car owners
neglect.  Neglect your fluid levels and your car will break down.  You will be on the side of the road yelling.  It will not be
your cars fault it will be yours. Neglect your car and pay the price.  The car parts and accessories for most vehicles today
are very expensive. The average price to have the transmission repaired is $4000.00.  I hope now when I tell you things
about  your car or truck you will take me serious.  Thanks
